And the performance of cars like the new McLaren P1 – where performance and handling are much more the focus than outright top speed – has added the the irrelevance. On Wednesday, the company said the Camaro ZL1 posted a lap time of 7 minutes, 41.27 seconds. The 2012 Camaro ZL1 ran around the 13-mile course a tick faster than the 2005 Porsche 911 GT3 and a tick slower than 911 Turbo S.
High Fuel Costs Forcing Drivers Off Road
Wed, 04 Dec 2013THE latest AA/Populus survey released to coincide with the Government’s Autumn Statement tells us something we probably already know: high fuel prices are continuing to force drivers to use their cars less. As part of its poll of 21,587 AA members, the organisation found that 45% are cutting down on car usage and 28% are slashing family or personal budgets to compensate. Semi or unskilled workers and pensioners are cutting back most on motoring, with 53% using their cars less.
